Performed between the 50th anniversaries of VE Day, the end of World War II in Europe on 8th May 1945, and VJ Day, this cabaret commemorated 50th years of peace.
The show evoked the trials, tribulations and camaraderie of the era through, song, dance and drama, whilst giving our audiences plenty to smile about. It took a nostalgic look at those war years, using the words and music of the time that those who lived through the dark days of 1939 to 1945 remember so well.
As well as remembering the sad days of WWII, happier memories of the time and the people, with whom rationing and the privations of war were shared, were also recalled.
