Honk! the musical based on one of the world's favourite fairy-tales - Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling. And now it's coming to Cranford courtesy of The Concorde Players.
Honk! tells the story of Ugly, a baby duck who doesn't look like his duckling brothers and sisters. Despite his loving mother’s protests, he is mocked by his siblings and the rest of the farmyard for being different. Rejected by his counterparts, Ugly is befriended by the wily Cat who really just fancies him for dinner.
Soon Ugly finds himself lost on a nearby marsh in the middle of a duck-shoot! And thus he embarks on an adventure through the countryside, pursued by the ever-hungry Cat, meeting a battery of colourful characters and finding himself, and love, along the way.
With its bouncing, witty score and universal story, this touching musical with plenty of heart.
